City or Art Canvas? (Detroit, Michigan Vlog)

Detroit, Michigan is an interesting city. So much of it is abandoned but equally as much of it is covered in beautiful art. Check out our time in Detroit where we discovered some unique parts of the city including 'The Heidelburg Project', a bizarre neighborhood completely covered in unique and fascinating art displays and America's largest historic market district! We also discovered ALL BLACK squirrels all throughout the city and many other parts of Michigan. (A cool contrast from finding all white squirrels in Brevard, NC, check out our video from there!) Detroit is also a HUGE music destination...with the world's oldest Jazz club, the original Motown Records location (Hitsville, USA), Eminem's roots on 8 Mile Road, and much, much more. SO many incredible artists got their start in Detroit including Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, The White Stripes, Bob Seger Big Sean, the Supremes, Dej Loaf, Danny Brown, Aaliyah, Anita Baker, Royce da 5'9, Tee Grizzly and the list goes on and on. Famous film producers and directors like Jerry Bruckheimer and Francis Ford Coppola are also from Detroit! This shows you how this place is BURSTING with creativity and the arts. So many great things come from the city that was once the WORLD's WEALTHIEST city in the 1950s. Despite its massive economic downfall, the evidence of a once-thriving metropolis is there...from the top-notch art to the incredible and diverse food scene, and beyond! Have you been to Detroit or Michigan? We had such a great time there and Michigan was instantly one of our favorite states in the US and Detroit one of our favorite cities! Visiting America's "Worst National Park" (Congaree NP, SC)

Who doesn't love National Parks? Here in the US, we all know our national parks are incredible! We all know the most popular ones, the world-famous can't miss places, mostly out west of course...but there are 62 of them in the country and some aren't very popular at all. Like Congaree in South Carolina for example, numerous lists and reviews call it the absolute worst one. Citing boredom, mosquitos, snakes, humidity, and more...so we had to go check this place out for ourselves to see what all the fuss was about, or lack of fuss. Turns out...it's pretty awesome! Of course, all of us nature-lovers really knew that already. :) It has some serious magic qualities to it, really impressive trees, stunning nature, and rich bio-diversity. Then there are the incredible trees in this place that give it almost a fairy tale vibe. It really felt like strolling into the world of Shrek. We're so glad this beautiful and unique place was protected. I don’t know if you saw our video from Brevard, NC about the synchronous fireflies out there in western NC, but turns out Congaree National Park is another popular spot to watch them! Check out our misadventure there and stay tuned for the epic turtle battle we witnessed! :) How many national parks have you visited and what are your favorites? Pizza and Pasta at McDonald's? (Orlando, Florida)

Pizza and Pasta at McDonald's? (Orlando, Florida)

We visited the USA's largest Mcdonald's in Orlando, Florida. It's the world's largest "entertainment McDonald's." We found this place randomly and were not even very hungry but you have to order pizza and Belgian waffles at McDonald's when you have the chance, right? They also have pasta and it's all customizable! It features a kitchen with a wood-fired brick oven where you can watch your pizza being made, a fish tank, an elevator, and a 24 hour arcade and play place! Just like most in Europe, it also features a McCafe bar that serves coffee, ice cream and cakes! The waiter who bought us our food had top notch service that felt like a 5 star restaurant, he said the pasta is even better than the pizza! This is the world's 3rd largest McDonald's, the first two are in Moscow, Russia, and Frankfurt, Germany. We like to check out McDonald's locations around the world because the menus tend to be a bit different. (Reminds us of the 'royale with cheese' scene from Pulp Fiction) 🙂 Our favorite so far have been in Milan, Italy because of the beautiful architecture and setting and the coolest vibes in our opinions were at the McDonalds in Austria. Where they were open late and jam-packed full of people having a good time, they also had really large wraps on the menu filled with things like tomato sauce and vegetarian Schnitzel. Do you eat McDonald's and what are some of your favorite 'golden arches' locations 🙂 Don't forget to like, subscribe, and comment if you enjoy the video.
